No place like home.......

Wanted to bottle up the last couple of days and open it when it's zero with snow on the ground. Thomas and I had an amazing weekend. So much that as we set on the deck late that evening with a roaring fire going we tried to figure out how to make the day last. We worked around the yard a little and everything looked so pretty and green. Green thanks to the rain the other day.
Most of the flowers are gone for the year, but the knock-out roses are still going strong. The ferns, elephant ears, banana trees and ornamental corn are still growing.

As we walked around the yard Thomas was glad that the dogwoods we planted were still doing good. We planted four pecan trees that came up from seed between the tavern and the flower shop and they are almost five feet tall now. We babied them for years. Seems they have grew almost a foot this year.
We are so blessed to have each other and a beautiful place to call our home.
