Shiny new car........

Looking back at pictures today I ran across this one. Our driveway is long and there are a few places where the snow drifts and it's hard to maneuver through. I never gave it a second thought when I left for work on these mornings, I was driving my Expedition. She is a trooper through snow and just like a FORD she would always get me to work on time.
This Fall I purchased a new vehicle. I drove my Expedition for 16.5 years and she is a jewell. Never really had any trouble from her. She ran like a dream and still does. On occasion she would need some work but Thomas could always repair her. The life of a car is how you take care of them, is what Daddy always said. He would wash his vehicle every week, polish them and pull it back in the garage whether they needed cleaned or not. Never drive through mud, water puddles or dirt roads. These are the things I recall Daddy saying when I started driving.
Looking at this picture I wonder how I will maneuver down the driveway with my new car, she does set low to the ground and I sure don't want her to get dirty. Maybe on days like this I will uncover my clean, shiny Expedition and make a path just like the old days.

Happy New Year.....

Happy New Year....have you made a list of things you want to improve for 2017? We all make a mental list and some of us even write them down. Keep your list short, don't want to over do it.
You may want to be more organized at home and work. Some may want to save more money, lose weight and avoid drama. Don't think you have to get it all done in a month.
When it comes to organizing your home, clean out one cabinet or drawer at a time. Better yet commitment to 10 minutes a day or evening. Before you know it you will be done and everything is in order. Same thing with saving money. Just set back a little with each paycheck. Saving a little as $5 a week will add up. Do that for a few weeks and bump it up to $8. If  your income is really good start out at $25 and work your way up. By the end of the year your piggy back will be heavy. Doing without a Polar Pop twice a week will be money in your pocket and healthy to. That's where losing weight comes in. Cutting out  Polar Pops will help the hips, all that sugar isn't good for you. Then there is the drama. My advice on that is, run from those who love drama. Don't walk..... run. Life is so short and the stress they cause is not worth your time. Circle your self with friends who respect you and care about you.
So there you have it, simple little things you can to for a good 2017. By the time 2018 rolls around your hips will be thin, your bank account will be fat and those drams queens will be left in the dust.
