Surprise.......

What a surprise when my bestie brings me lunch. It was awesome to see her and spend time with her. We even planned a few events for the summer. Thomas and Ryan won't care where we go as long as we let them choose where we have dinner at. Those two are pretty good at picking out great places to eat. And they even let us do a little shopping.

Twice the blessings.......

Even though it was snowing, cold and windy it was an amazing day. Taking Mom and Daddy to the doctor for their yearly check-up, enjoying lunch together and then running a few errands it was a terrific day. Spending time with them, watching them hold hands and bragging to the doctor they had been married for 67 years. Times like these makes me count my blessings twice...

Need a little~ Happy...

Being a florist you experience many different emotions during the day. Within the past eight day's I have helped two young couples choose flowers for their baby's funeral. Both little boys. No matter how much time passes the heart still aches as was shown this afternoon as a husband of 40 years ordered flowers in memory of his wife. He was trying so hard to be strong but his tears he could not hold. One thing for sure-we need a little....Happy!!

Follow the path.......

Driving to the flower shop this morning all I needed to do was follow the path. As you can see more people were heading north than south. As I drove it reminded me that always following the path of others is not a good thing. Break tradition and clear out your own path. Explore new roads but always remember to take the high road.

Glaze over Uniontown......

It's an icy day in Uniontown. As Thomas and I enjoyed breakfast we could hear the ice hitting the window. It didn't take long for everything to be covered with a glaze. The temperature has stayed 27 most of the day. We've no where to be today, we're cuddled up with a pot of chili simmering and watching NASCAR and hoping for another win from Dale Jr. Goooooo 88

Peeps....

Peeps are in the stores, which means Spring is near. Now days Peeps come in all colors, but true Peeps are yellow. I figure I have spent hundred's of dollars buying these little yellow chicks. Sarah experienced her first Peeps when she was two years old. I recall one day while shopping Sarah was explaining to Sandra that when you color Easter eggs you have to have Peeps to snack on and so the tradition began.  Still today Sarah and Sandra remind me to have lots of Peeps in their Easter basket.
