Hurry Spring.......

What a beautiful sunny day. Even though my back was aching I had to get out and enjoy the sunshine. Bristol, Lily Belle and I checked out the trees, bushes and flowers that were breaking opening to the rays of sunshine. As I bent down to take a picture of the daffodil's Bristol had to check them out to. We wondered around to the front yard to check on my magnolia tree that I bring back from Florida this past summer. The grower promised me it would live through an Indiana winter. She was right look at the blooms, there are at least six of them.

She told me of a man from West Virginia who comes back every year and purchases three each time. Their winter is sometimes colder than Indiana's. This year I'll bring back a couple.

Thomas planted two magnolia bushes for me a few years ago and they were showing buds too. With the extra dry summer we had I worry what will make it through the winter. The day lily's were popping their  heads through the soil. They were planted last spring and I watered them everyday so they would get a good root system. The only thing I worry about is my dogwood trees that I bring from around my old flower shop. Daddy and I would take turns watering them twice a day. Keep your fingers crossed.

When there's new growth bursting out all over, everything fresh, green and flowering, the plants are like little rockets of success going off everytime you look at them....
